A little about me...
It has been said that the true subject of the photograph is the photographer.
I grew up in Brooklyn and from an early age was fascinated with the natural world. Keenly interested in biology and comparative anatomy I attended college, medical school, and after graduation and post doctoral training became a Hand Surgeon. During my career I married, had twin boys (now both married), became a grandfather, built a wooden sailboat and earned a 3rd degree black belt in Karate.
I am fortunate to live at the beach and can therefore capture her images at different times of the day and year. I am always seeking to balance reality with abstraction.
When not taking pictures I can be found kite surfing, stand up paddling, sailing, or fishing.
On September 29, 2018 I became the first student to complete the requirements for Philadelphia Photo Arts Center's Contemporary Practices Photography Certificate.
